TFEB activation hallmarks antigenic experience of B lymphocytes and directs germinal center fate decisions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antigenic stimulation triggers TFEB to move into the nucleus, where it can either promote B cell survival or lead to apoptosis depending on T cell help. Without T cell support, TFEB increases pro-apoptotic proteins, leading to cell death. But with T cell co-stimulation (via CD40 signaling), B cells are rescued, migrate to lymph follicles, and enhance their antigen presentation, leading to activation and maturation.
