Congratulations to <\/a>Thomas Korn for obtaining a European Research Council ERC Advanced Grant!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his project BREAKING BAD, Thomas Korn will explore a critical question at the intersection of immunology and neuroscience:
Why do some T cells turn against the body and trigger diseases like neuromyelitis optica, and could similar immune mechanisms also play a role in neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer\u2019s?

The ERC-funded project will investigate whether misguided immune responses to brain autoantigens, such as the amyloid precursor protein (APP), could contribute to neurodegeneration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
