{"id":6702,"date":"2026-10-30T11:57:47","date_gmt":"2026-10-30T10:57:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sfb274.de\/?p=6702"},"modified":"2026-11-04T13:39:46","modified_gmt":"2026-11-04T12:39:46","slug":"trr-274-post-doc-research-awards-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sfb274.de\/en\/trr-274-post-doc-research-awards-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"TRR 274 Post Doc Research Awards 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are delighted to announce <strong>Lena Spieth<\/strong> and <strong>Matthias M\u00fcnchhalfen<\/strong> as the recipients of the <strong>TRR 274 Postdoctoral Research Awards 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">Each award provides <strong>\u20ac10,000 in research funding<\/strong> in recognition of outstanding scientific achievements and to support future research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lena Spieth<\/strong> is honoured for her outstanding contributions to multiple sclerosis research, particularly the characterization of pathogenic inflammatory niches in chronic active MS lesions using single-cell spatial transcriptomics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within TRR 274, Lena works in collaboration with our PI <strong>Stefan Berghoff<\/strong>, project leader of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfb274.de\/en\/project\/a06\/\">A06<\/a>, and <strong>Mika Simons<\/strong>, co-speaker and project leader of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfb274.de\/en\/project\/a06\/\">A06<\/a>, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfb274.de\/en\/project\/b01\/\">B01<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfb274.de\/en\/project\/z02\/\">Z02<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1016\/j.immuni.2025.10.003\">Read the paper<\/a>  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Matthias M\u00fcnchhalfen<\/strong> is honoured for his outstanding contributions to B-cell immunology and our understanding of the molecular mechanisms governing germinal center fate decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matthias works in collaboration with <strong>J\u00fcrgen Wienands<\/strong>, project leader of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfb274.de\/en\/project\/a08\/\">A08<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1038\/s41467-024-51166-3\">Read the paper<\/a>    <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to both awardees on this well-deserved recognition!
