As part of ourClinician Scientist Programme, we are happy to welcome and support Dr. Lara Marten and Dr. Katharina Eisenhut as successful applicants to our TRR274 in 2021. The Clinician Scientist Programme of the TRR274 is set to sponsor and encourage young medical professionals, who foster a deep interest and drive to participate in the scientific field and do science, to do so in parallel to their medical training. Specifically, clinicians have the opportunity to receive financial aid, protected research time and one on one scientific mentoring from one of our TRR274 PIs.

Dr. Lara Marten, who succesfully applied to the Advanced Clinician Scientist Programme, is a resident clinician in the Klinik für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin at the University Medical Center Göttingen and will work under supervision of Prof. Jutta Gärtner, while Dr. Katharina Eisenhut works as a resident at the Klinikum der Universität München and will be mentored and supervised by Prof. Kerschensteiner as part of the Early Clinician Scientist Programme.
